Duties
- Perform a wide range of nail services including manicures, gel manicures, pedicures, and acrylic or nail extension applications with precision and artistry.
- Apply and maintain nail enhancements such as gel, acrylics, and other nail extensions using industry-standard techniques.
- Conduct thorough sanitation and disinfection procedures before and after each client to ensure salon safety protocols are strictly followed.
- Provide expert advice on nail care, color theory, and trending styles to help clients select the best options for their preferences.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, offer personalized recommendations, and ensure a satisfying experience.
- Upsell retail products related to nail care and beauty treatments to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue.
- Stay current with industry trends such as eyelash extensions, body waxing, esthetic laser treatments, hair styling, hair extensions, hair threading, dermabrasion, and other beauty services to broaden service offerings.
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or esthetician license with certification in nail technology required.
- Proven experience working as a manicurist or nail technician in a professional salon environment.
- Strong knowledge of color theory, nail care techniques, sanitation standards, and disinfection procedures.
- Skilled in applying various nail enhancements including gel manicures, acrylic nails, and nail extensions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients confidently and professionally.
- Knowledge of salon safety protocols and sanitation practices essential for maintaining a hygienic workspace.
- Ability to upsell retail products effectively while providing outstanding customer service.
- Experience with additional beauty services such as eyelash extensions, body waxing, dermabrasion, or laser treatments is a plus.
