Overview
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Houseman to join our hospitality team, committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. As a vital member of our housekeeping operations, you will support the overall cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests and staff. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a seamless experience that reflects our commitment to excellence.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of public areas, and back-of-house spaces, exterior using appropriate cleaning techniques and chemical agents while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines.
- Handle manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture, linens, and cleaning supplies safely and efficiently.
- Execute floor care duties including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain pristine surfaces.
- Assist with hotel housekeeping management tasks such as replenishing supplies, organizing storage areas, and supporting room turnover processes including helping the team take out trash
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest and staff safety at all times.
- Maintain detailed custodial records and logs of cleaning activities, chemical usage, and safety compliance.
- Support janitorial and industrial cleaning tasks as needed to uphold the highest standards of hygiene throughout the property.
Experience
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial roles within hospitality environments is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with cleaning techniques involving chemical agents and industrial cleaning equipment.
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols including proper handling of SDS documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during routine cleaning or maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with hotel experience standards, janitorial practices, floor care methods, and custodial responsibilities within a hospitality setting.
