We seek a self-motivated, customer service-oriented Fire Sprinkler Lead Technician. The ideal candidate will be organized, professional, and a good communicator. This important position will establish rapport and build positive relationships with our customers.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform service, maintenance and repair of fire sprinkler systems, including wet, dry , pre-action and deluge.
- Responsible for identifying trouble areas and performing service in an efficient and professional manner to ensure that sprinkler systems are operating properly.
- Sprinkler and Backflow Systems Installation, Repair, & Service.
- Install/hang sprinkler systems and their components per NFPA and engineering guidelines.
- Repair and/or replace all sprinkler systems components. Including Fire pumps
- Perform disassembly, repair, and installation of sprinkler and backflow valves (once receiving license). Perform inspection of wet, dry, pre-action, deluge systems.
Job Requirements:
- 3-5 years’ experience installing fire sprinkler pipe systems, fire pumps and valves, required. 5+ years preferred.
- Must be able to work alone and/or part as a team.
- Basic math skills, mechanical aptitude, problem solving skills, customer service skills, decision making skills, ability to multitask, and the ability to train others.
- Must have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate with employees and customers.
- Must have the ability to operate a computer and tablet.
- Understanding and implementing codes and standards of NFPA 13 and 25.
Physical requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to bend, ascend and descend step stools, ladders and stairs, kneel, lift 50lbs, sit, stoop, twist, and work at heights
- Frequent local travel and occasional regional and non-regional travel is required. Employees will frequently be required to work inside and outside in hot/cold temperatures and be exposed to loud noises, cramped quarters, dust, fumes and odors, standing on hard surfaces, and electrical hazards frequently. Employees will occasionally be exposed to chemicals, moving machinery, uneven and slippery surfaces. Employees must consistently wear all appropriate personal protective equipment, as required by company safety policies.
Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
