Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in casual dining. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and presentation of our dishes while adhering to food safety standards. Your creativity and attention to detail will help us deliver an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Must have a minimum of 3 years consistent line cooking experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining high quality and presentation.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and create new dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and proper handling procedures.
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed.
- Participate in catering events as required, ensuring all meals are prepared to specifications.
- Demonstrate excellent knife skills and cooking techniques in meal preparation.
- Support the dietary department by accommodating special dietary needs when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or in other kitchen roles within the food industry.
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation, cooking, and serving.
- Experience in fine dining or catering is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of menu planning and dietary aide practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices for food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
