Duties
- Distribute flyers and promotional materials door-to-door within designated neighborhoods and community spaces
- Engage with residents and local business owners through friendly face-to-face conversations to raise awareness about campaigns or events
- Utilize mobile devices to record distribution progress and gather feedback from community members
- Conduct canvassing activities in outdoor settings, ensuring coverage of targeted areas efficiently
- Promote community engagement by answering questions and providing information about services or initiatives
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing the organization in outdoor environments
- Coordinate with team members to ensure coverage of all assigned areas and report daily activities
Experience
- Prior experience in field sales, canvassing, or outdoor marketing is preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to engage in conversational dialogue with diverse audiences
- Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership roles within outreach teams
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to connect with a broader range of community members
- Experience with customer service or face-to-face engagement enhances effectiveness in this role
- Comfortable walking outdoors for extended periods and working in various weather conditions
