Jake Transportation Inc. is seeking an experienced Trucking Fleet Manager to oversee daily fleet operations, driver recruiting, and driver retention for our growing trucking company in Charlottesville, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit and retain qualified CDL drivers
- Manage daily fleet and dispatch operations
- Build strong relationships with drivers
- Monitor truck maintenance and repairs
- Ensure DOT/FMCSA compliance
- Track driver safety and performance
- Reduce downtime and improve fleet efficiency
- Handle driver concerns and conflict resolution
- Coordinate roadside assistance and breakdowns
- Monitor fuel costs and operational expenses
Qualifications:
- Experience in trucking fleet management
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD systems
- Driver recruiting and retention experience preferred
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Pay: $55,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
