Position Summary
The Quality Control (QC) Inspector is responsible for inspecting materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable specifications. The inspector will use measuring and inspection tools, record inspection results, and support production quality activities in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials and products.
- Read and interpret work instructions, drawings, specifications, and inspection criteria.
- Use inspection and measuring tools such as:
- Calipers
- Micrometers
- Tape measures
- Multimeters
- Go/No-Go gauges
- Torque tools
- Verify product conformity to quality standards and customer requirements.
- Record inspection results accurately in inspection forms, ERP/MRP systems, or spreadsheets.
- Identify and segregate nonconforming materials or products.
- Create or assist with nonconformance reports (NCRs) as required.
- Communicate quality issues to supervisors, production, and engineering teams.
- Support corrective action and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain clean and organized inspection areas and follow safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED preferred.
