We are seeking dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team in PRN and part-time roles, offering premium pay for your valuable skills and commitment. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using safe lifting practices and patient transfer methods.
- Monitor vital signs and observe changes in patient condition, promptly reporting findings to nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Support patients with specialized needs including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and behavioral health requirements.
- Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, medication administration under supervision, and phlebotomy when trained.
- Operate patient lifts like Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury during transfers and promote patient comfort.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in various settings including long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, hospitals, and home care environments.
Experience
- Prior experience working with geriatric patients or in senior care environments is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, aseptic technique, and basic life support (CPR).
- Experience utilizing EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical records management.
- Background in acute or sub-acute care settings like ICU, emergency medicine, or Level I/II trauma centers is a plus.
- Familiarity with specialized areas including hospice care, infectious disease care, pediatric or neonatal units (PICU), and behavioral health is advantageous.
- Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform manual handling tasks efficiently.
- Strong caregiver communication skills with an understanding of physiology and patient service principles are essential for success in this role.
