Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Expeditor (Expo) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be the communication hub between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, ensuring that food orders are prepared accurately, promptly, and to our high standards. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help create a seamless dining experience for every guest.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary communication link between kitchen staff and servers to coordinate timely food delivery
- Ensure all food orders are prepared correctly according to specifications and presentation standards
- Monitor food quality, temperature, and presentation before serving to guests
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, including plating and garnishing
- Support the bussing team by clearing tables and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff about special requests or modifications
- Maintain a clean, organized work station to promote food safety and efficiency
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or culinary environments preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
- Strong communication skills to coordinate efficiently with team members
- Experience with banquet service, catering, or hotel hospitality is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic cooking skills and familiarity with food preparation techniques
- A passion for delivering excellent customer service and creating positive guest experiences
