Drafter
Our well-established Southern Maine client is seeking a Drafter to design complex high-quality solutions that meet their client’s needs, while employing architectural and mechanical design skills. This full-time, direct-hire role offers solid, reasonable benefits and the opportunity to grow!
Responsibilities of the Drafter
- Interpret architectural documents and sales order information to create quality submittal packages for client approval
- Coordinate review meetings to go over drawing updates prior to client submittal
- Create BOMs for manufacturing parts
- Construct installation drawing packages
- Work with engineering to provide ETO solutions and assist with part drawings and item creation
- Perform site visits to collect field information
- Work on multiple projects concurrently
- Maintain up-to-date documentation
Qualifications of the Drafter
- 2 or 4 year technical degree and/or 5+ years of experience
- Drafting experience in a manufacturing environment or other technical field is desirable
- Strong analytical skills and computer proficiency including MS Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and Inventor
- Construction industry and building code familiarity
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural prints
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet quality standards in a busy, fast-moving, and target-driven environment
