R.Aire at The Hampton Maid is seeking a skilled and motivated Cold Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, maintains high standards of quality and cleanliness, and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This position is responsible for preparing and plating cold menu items while ensuring consistency, presentation, and adherence to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and plate salads, appetizers, cold starters, desserts, and other cold station menu items according to restaurant standards.
- Execute recipes consistently while maintaining quality and presentation.
- Assist with daily prep work, ingredient portioning, and station setup.
- Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and rotation procedures (FIFO).
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate product needs to kitchen management.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and stocked throughout service.
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service.
- Participate in opening and closing kitchen duties.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, Garde Manger, or similar culinary role preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
- Strong attention to detail and presentation.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
