A network of independently owned funeral homes in Northern Michigan is seeking a Funeral Director / Funeral Service Professional to manage our Whitehall location. Position OverviewThe successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of a small-town funeral home and will play a key role in supporting families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. This position offers a dynamic and sometimes unpredictable schedule, balanced by the rewards of impactful, service-oriented work. Responsibilities
- Pre-need and at-need funeral arrangement conferences
- Coordinating and directing funeral, memorial, and graveside services
- Marker and monument sales
- Light building and facility maintenance
- Working collaboratively with full-time and part-time staff
- Managing responsibilities independently and efficiently
Qualifications
- Michigan Mortuary Science license preferred, but not required
- Willing to train the right candidate
- Ideal for someone beginning their first career or pursuing a second career
- Strong desire to serve families with empathy, professionalism, and care
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision
- Self-motivated, organized, and dependable
- Comfortable working as part of a team in a small-town setting

Compensation & Benefits
- Annual earnings typically range from $65,000–$86,000, depending on experience and desired workload
