Job Summary
We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Dental Assistants, Patient Care Coordinators, and Sterilization Technicians to join our dynamic team. These paid positions play a vital role in delivering top-quality patient care, ensuring clinical efficiency, and maintaining strict infection control standards. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during clinical procedures with chairside support, including handling dental instruments and managing patient comfort.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing equipment, processing dental instruments according to infection prevention protocols, and ensuring all tools meet aseptic standards.
- Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments, updating medical records using patient management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, and verifying insurance information.
- Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety guidelines for radiation exposure.
- Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging procedures when necessary to support comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and post-procedure care to promote optimal health outcomes.
- Maintain clinical confidentiality policies by accurately documenting medical records and ensuring compliance with healthcare infection control standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dental assisting or related roles within a dental clinic setting.
- Knowledge of EMR systems such as Dentrix for efficient patient data management.
- Familiarity with dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to perform dental X-ray procedures safely while following all safety protocols.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and clinical procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist or patient care coordinator to foster positive patient interactions.
- Certification in CPR or basic life support (BLS) required; or willingness to obtain relevant certifications.
