Summary:
The BCBA is responsible for providing clinical oversight, behavioral assessment, and the development and implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programming for students served. This role ensures that behavior support services are ethical, effective, and aligned with students individualized treatment and educational plans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- Design, implement, and monitor ABA-based treatment programs
- Provide ongoing supervision and clinical oversight to behavior technicians, teachers and direct support staff
- Analyze behavioral data and adjust treatment strategies based on progress and outcomes
- Train staff on behavior intervention strategies, data collection, and implementation fidelity
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and educational planning
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state regulations, agency policies, and ethical standards set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Behavior Analyst Certification Board
- Provide crisis intervention support and behavioral consultation as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, progress notes, and reports
- Collaborate with families, guardians, and external providers to support continuity of care
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or related field
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or behavioral needs
- Strong knowledge of ABA principles, ethical guidelines, and data analysis
- Excellent communication, leadership, and supervisory skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in settings requiring standing, walking, and occasional physical intervention
- Ability to respond to behavioral escalations in a safe and professional manner
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
