Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Semi Diesel Truck Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty trucks and tractor-trailers to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance. Your expertise will help keep our fleet operating smoothly and efficiently, supporting our commitment to reliable transportation services. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on semi-trucks, including diesel engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, alignments, and air brake inspections to prevent breakdowns.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues accurately.
- Fabricate parts or modify equipment using welding, cutting tools, and fabrication techniques as needed for repairs or customizations.
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery safely and efficiently during maintenance tasks.
- Inspect farm machinery and industrial equipment to identify wear or damage requiring repair or replacement.
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a heavy truck mechanic or in a dealership environment with strong knowledge of diesel engine repair.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools for automotive electrical systems.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and other maintenance instruments.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including brakes, shocks & struts, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and tire services.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, alignment procedures, and vehicle diagnostics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service experience to communicate effectively with clients or team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or inspections.

Pay: $29.00 - $52.00 per hour
