Position Overview
Global Electric, Inc. is seeking a dependable and organized Assistant Project Manager to support project execution and daily operations across field and office teams. This role assists with coordination, documentation, scheduling, and communication to help ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining company standards.
Compensation
- $24/hr to $48/hr, depending on experience and qualifications
Key Responsibilities
- Support project planning, coordination, and execution to meet schedule, budget, and scope requirements
- Coordinate project tasks, deliverables, and workflows across field and office teams
- Maintain and manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and meeting minutes
- Track project progress, budgets, and schedules; identify risks and assist with mitigation efforts
- Assist with preparation and submission of monthly billings in accordance with contract requirements
- Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment and compliance
- Assist with procurement, material tracking, and resource coordination
- Support development of project schedules and workflows with field supervisors and project managers
- Review and interpret drawings and specifications (electrical experience preferred)
- Facilitate meetings, record outcomes, and track action items
- Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate time reporting
- Provide project support or oversight in the absence of the Project Manager
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
- 1–3 years of experience in construction or project coordination preferred
- Basic understanding of construction processes and project lifecycle
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications (electrical preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
