What You'll Do
As a Service Technician, you'll manage your own service calls while being supported by an organized office team, modern technology, and efficient dispatching.
Responsibilities include:
- Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems independently
- Perform preventative maintenance and system evaluations
- Troubleshoot electrical, refrigerant, airflow, and control issues
- Clearly explain repair options and recommendations to homeowners
- Present repair, maintenance membership, indoor air quality, and replacement options when appropriate
- Complete digital work orders and required job documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized take-home company vehicle
- Represent the Handy Dan brand professionally on every call
Most technicians run 5–7 service calls per day, depending on the season and call type.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of residential HVAC service experience
- EPA Certification (Required)
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent customer communication skills
- Ability to educate homeowners and make honest recommendations
- Clean driving record
- Comfortable using tablets and mobile service software
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
- NATE Certification is a plus
Compensation
We reward technicians who diagnose correctly, communicate professionally, and provide outstanding customer service.
Hourly Pay
- $28–$36 per hour, based on experience and skill
