Shipping/Receiving Coordinator I
Position Overview
The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator I plays a key role in our warehouse and logistics
operations, ensuring seamless coordination of inbound and outbound shipments. This entry-level
position is responsible for handling the essential tasks of picking, shipping, and receiving goods
within our ERP and warehouse management systems (WMS). The coordinator I supports the
movement of components and inventory, maintains high standards of accuracy, and contributes to
the efficiency of the entire supply chain team.
Responsibilities
Shipping Duties
- Pick, pack, and ship outbound transfer orders and component sales orders using ERP and
- WMS systems.
- Process and complete shipments of components according to established protocols to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Communicate proactively with production, planning and inventory teams to coordinate shipments and resolve issues as they arise.
- Support all outbound inventory activities, including the documentation and tracking of
- Assist with supplemental shipping tasks, such as labeling, order verification, and quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional warehouse teams to ensure all shipping activities align
- Receive and check in inbound warehouse deliveries for components, ensuring all
- Conduct physical verification of received goods, report discrepancies or damages, and
- Assist in the put-away process for inbound inventory, organizing items in designated
- Work collaboratively with shipping teams to provide flexibility and coverage as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ year of experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, or similar environment
- preferred
- Familiarity with ERP or WMS systems (e.g., Business Central) is a plus
- Ability to safely operate a forklift; certification preferred
- Comfortable using computers and basic software tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in handling inventory
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with UPS Worldship and related shipping platforms.
- Familiarity with Business Central ERP and Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous exposure to warehouse and distribution environments (not mandatory).
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
