Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our small culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items, assisting with meal assembly, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment alongside our kitchen manager and GM. You MUST be able to work independently, have a good attitude and a strong work ethic. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Customer service and strong communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble dishes according to established weights, portions and menu specifications
- Execute food preparation tasks including slicing, dicing, portioning, and frying with precision and efficiency
- Follow all safety standards in food production, handling, and storage to ensure a safe working environment
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality and presentation standards
- Serve dishes promptly and courteously to ensure excellent customer service experience
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant kitchen environments - at least 2 years experience
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production
- Familiarity with dietary department protocols
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail and strong communication
- Excellent understanding of food industry standards, including meal preparation, food handling, and serving procedures
- Effective communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with team members and kitchen staff
Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
