The AM Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily driver operations to ensure safe, efficient, and timely freight delivery. This role involves dispatching drivers, managing routes, resolving issues, and collaborating with operations, warehouse, and customer service teams to maintain smooth workflow and meet operational deadlines.

Dispatch drivers at the start of each shift and review daily routes.

Adjust routes and assignments throughout the day as needed.

Monitor driver progress, productivity, and truck utilization.

Resolve unexpected issues such as delays or mechanical problems.

Minimize driver downtime and optimize resource usage.

Assign and update pickups, deliveries, and transfers.

Communicate potential service impacts and ensure special instructions are followed.

Collaborate with operations, warehouse, and customer service teams.

Document discrepancies and provide updates to relevant teams.

Ensure freight lockout times are met and maintain overall operational efficiency.

2+ years of freight dispatching or cartage operations experience (preferred)

Strong communication, problemsolving, and customer service skills

Able to multitask, prioritize, and perform well under pressure

Comfortable working in a fastpaced environment
