Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a Preschool Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, managing classroom activities, and building strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Your energetic approach will help create a positive foundation for early childhood education, promoting curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills essential for future learning success. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable
- Manage daily classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that supports children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation, respect, and independence among children
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and collaborate on supporting each child's individual needs
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or classroom aides to promote teamwork and high-quality instruction
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols such as first aid and CPR certifications
- Incorporate special education techniques and early intervention strategies to support children with diverse learning needs or developmental delays
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is essential; at least two years of classroom teaching experience is preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across early childhood subjects including literacy education, math, physical education, and childhood development instruction
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and classroom management best practices to create a positive learning environment
- Experience working with special education programs or early intervention services is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other specialized educational philosophies is a plus
- Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in childhood development or preschool teaching are advantageous
