Job Description
We're looking for an experienced Shell Construction Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations on assigned job sites in Indian River, St. Lucie, and Martin Counties, as well as North Palm Beach. You'll direct crews through foundations, masonry, and carpentry work, coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, and keep projects on schedule and on budget. This includes performing takeoffs and slab layouts, placing purchase orders, enforcing safety protocols, conducting inspections, resolving field issues, and maintaining clear communication with vendors, subcontractors, and the office team.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of shell construction experience in Florida (foundations, masonry, framing/carpentry)
- Previous experience as a superintendent or lead on residential and/or light commercial projects
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, and structural details
- Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and safe job site practices
- Experience tracking schedules, costs, and production goals
- Strong organizational skills for documentation, daily reporting, and punch-list completion
- Professional, clear communicator who works well with crews, subcontractors, inspectors, and clients
- Comfortable with basic construction technology (email, project management apps, digital plans)
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Must pass a drug test
- Carpentry/framing background is a plus
