American Traveler is hiring an LPN/LVN with a current NY license and 1+ year of LTC experience for a night shift assignment at a state-run long-term care and rehabilitation center in Vestal, NY.

Work in a state/government-run long-term care center offering skilled nursing, rehabilitation therapies, memory care, and wound care
-
Unit specializes in long-term care with an Alzheimer's and dementia patient population
-
300-bed facility with a patient ratio of 1:18–20
-
Night shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts (23:45–07:15)

Every other weekend required upon center request
-
Charting system is PointClickCare (PCC); prior experience not required
-
Current NY State RN/LPN license required at time of consideration; no license violations accepted — license required if applicable

Minimum 1 year of LTC experience required; candidates with recent rehab, med-surg, or hospital experience will also be considered

Current BLS certification required

Must be able to pass a medication administration (med pass) test and clinical observation

Strong attendance, punctuality, and dependability required

Flexibility with scheduling needs required

Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, performing accurate medication passes, monitoring and reporting changes in resident condition, completing timely documentation, and supervising CNAs on assigned units

Facility serves a memory care population including residents with Alzheimer's and dementia

Night shift is described as slower paced

All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration and will not be approved after an offer is made; candidates cannot take every holiday off
