Role Purpose
The Airport Security Agent is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of passengers, employees, aircraft, and airport facilities. This role involves screening individuals and property, monitoring access points, and enforcing security regulations in compliance with federal, state, and airport authority requirements.
What you will be doing
- Screen passengers, baggage, and cargo using approved security procedures and equipment
- Control access to secure and restricted areas of the airport
- Actively participate in the Safety Management System (SMS)
- Verify identification and travel documents
- Monitor surveillance systems and report suspicious activity
- Conduct routine patrols of airport terminals, gates, and ramp areas
- Respond to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a timely manner
- Enforce airport security regulations and company policies
- Provide customer service while maintaining a high level of vigilance
- Complete incident reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Coordinate with law enforcement and airport authorities as needed
- Perform other duties as requested

What we are looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and obtain required security clearances (e.g., TSA badge)
- Previous security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred but not required
- Basic computer skills for reporting and system monitoring
- Valid driver’s license (if required by role)

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (as required)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-security environment
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong observation and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Sound judgment and decision-making ability
- Demonstrates a high level of integrity and reliability
- Airport terminal and airside operations
- Exposure to high passenger volume, noise, and varying weather conditions
- May require shift work, including early mornings and overnight shift
Pay: $13.75 Hourly
