- Hotel Maintenance Technician / Engineer — Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to help maintain the overall operation, safety, and appearance of the hotel property. This position is responsible for repairing and maintaining hotel equipment and facilities, including HVAC systems, pool equipment, plumbing, electrical fixtures, guest room repairs, and general building maintenance. The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, and able to respond quickly to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel property
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC units and climate control systems
- Maintain pool systems, including monitoring equipment and water quality
- Handle plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair tasks
- Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests
- Move furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and hotel policies
- Assist with outdoor maintenance, grounds upkeep, and seasonal tasks
- Maintain maintenance logs and report major repair needs to management
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance, hotel engineering, or facilities experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Pool maintenance experience is a plus
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
- Availability to work flexible hours, weekends, and on-call shifts if needed
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
