Evening Floor Technician
Evening Floor Technician | Virginia Beach
Shift: Mon- Fri 6:00pm - 10:00pm + Rotating Saturdays
General Purpose:
Ensuring all floor surfaces are properly cleaned in commercial offices and buildings in the Town Center area. You will need a clean background check and the ability to pass a drug screen.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform proper techniques of floor care and preparation of all areas to be cleaned, buffed, stripped or waxed as well as carpet cleaning.

Strip, scrub, sweep, refinish, and buff all tiled floor areas, utilizing the proper equipment and procedures.

Vacuum and spot clean all carpets throughout the facility.

Operate all floor cleaning/ finishing equipment to include but not limited to buffers, water extractors and carpet cleaning equipment.

Perform the proper labeling, dilution and use of chemicals.

Report need repairs and safety hazards.

Must be able to meet attendance work schedules with dependability and consistency.

Perform other routine maintenance duties as assigned.

Assist in other areas of cleaning/coverage as needed and or directed.

Ensure timely completion of assigned floor responsibilities according to schedule.

Follow safety guidelines, quality standards, and ensures customer service expectations are met.
Qualifications/Education/Work Experience: 3+ years previous Floor Technician experience required.

Must possess knowledge of floor care equipment, products, techniques, and standards.

Experience with a truck mount is preferred but not required.

Floor Technician certification is preferred but not required.

Must pass a criminal background check.

Must have valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Must have reliable transportation to job location.

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

Must have good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Must possess the ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Physical Requirements:

Position requires bending, twisting, lifting (up to 25 pounds), stretching, reaching, and standing for extended periods of time.
