Part-Time Family Assistant / House Manager
Location: Carmel Valley, CA
Schedule: Part-Time | 1–2 days per week (approximately 6–8 hours/day).
Pay: $30–40/hour DOE (Depending on Experience) + mileage reimbursement for errands.

About Our Family
We're a warm, busy family with young children, a small flock of chickens and ducks, and a growing garden. We're looking for an exceptional Family Assistant/House Manager who enjoys creating order, takes initiative, and genuinely loves helping a household run smoothly. This is not a nanny position; childcare may occasionally be requested, but the primary focus is household management.
What You'll Be Doing
Household Management
· Laundry (wash, dry, fold, and put away)
· Dishes and kitchen reset
· Tidying common living spaces
· Organizing closets, pantry, cabinets, and storage areas
· Decluttering and creating organization systems
· Restocking household supplies
· Taking out trash and recycling
· Light household cleaning as needed
Errands
· Grocery shopping
· Costco runs
· Household shopping
· Post office, returns, and miscellaneous errands
· Coordinate and drop off donations and other household items to local donation centers as part of ongoing decluttering and organization projects
· Occasional light meal prep
Animal Care
· Feed and water chickens and ducks
· Collect eggs
· Refill feeders and waterers
· Keep the coop tidy
· Alert us if anything seems unusual with the animals
Household Projects
· Seasonal organization
· Preparing the home for guests
· Helping keep the household running efficiently
· Identifying areas that could be better organized
House & Pet Sitting
Our goal is to find one dependable person who will become familiar with our home, routines, and animals, allowing us to build a long-term working relationship rather than relying on multiple service providers.
We're hoping to find someone who can become a trusted, long-term part of our household. When our family travels, we'd love for this person to be available (with advance notice) to house sit and care for our home, chickens, and ducks. This provides consistency for our animals and peace of mind for our family.
House and pet sitting is compensated separately from regular weekly hours. Details will be discussed during the interview process.

Requirements
· Previous experience as a family assistant, house manager, professional organizer, or similar role preferred
· Reliable transportation
· Valid driver's license
· Ability to pass a background check
· Excellent references
