Companions Dog Resort is recruiting for a Canine Care Specialist that has past experience as a shift lead, supervisor or more.. at a dog daycare facility or similar fast paced business. Experience is highly valued. The position revolves around caring after dogs in a group play environment, providing an upbeat customer experience, assisting with basic office duties, safety protocols, maintaining a clean environment and more. This is a hands on position for a driven individual.

We’re looking for a **reliable and experienced superstar ** to lead our team and ensure top-quality care for every dog in our facility.
The primary responsibilities are: **
- Oversee daily kennel operations (boarding, daycare, feeding, cleaning, training support)
- Supervise and train staff on safe dog handling
- Monitor dog health, behavior, and wellbeing
- Manage team performance, and workflow
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment
- Communicate professionally with clients
- Handle challenging dogs with confidence and control
**What We Require:**
Prior professional kennel/daycare & dog handling experience (REQUIRED)
Leadership, supervisor or management experience
Strong understanding of dog behavior & safety
Ability to enforce structure and routines
Physically capable (lift 50+ lbs, on your feet for long periods)

- Manage playgroups of dogs of various sizes in an open play yard environment.

- Maintaining the (easy to use) customer data base and reservation system.
- Contribute to keeping the facility clean & well maintained for everyones happiness. Including being able to lift 70lbs and be active on your feet all day.
