Responsibilities of the Activities Director:
Plan and oversee recreational events and programs.
Create and lead activities like arts and crafts, music, dance, and sports to develop our resident’s social skills and promote active healthy lifestyles.
Design activities programs and training.
Manage assistants and other staff.
Complete the activities department’s MDS sections in a timely fashion.
Create, monitor, and revise resident care plans.
Qualifications for Activities Director:
Activity Professionals Certification
Previous experience in Recreational Planning and Development in a health care setting
A genuine interest in working closely with the geriatric population and their families
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills, as well as the ability to lead and manage others
