The Department of Occupational Therapy within the College of Allied Health Sciences at East Carolina University invites applications for a 12‑month, fixed‑term permanent faculty position at the title of Clinical Assistant Professor. Primary duties will include: (1) Serving as Academic Fieldwork Coordinator (title determined by ACOTE) for an entry-level Master of Science Program and an entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy program (2) Managing the fieldwork component of the program in accordance with ACOTE standards, (3) Teaching graduate courses, including fieldwork‑specific and other courses, (4) Advising graduate students, (5) Participating in scholarly activities and providing service to the university and the profession.
Contingent upon availability of funds.
Minimum Education/Experience
- Occupational therapist with an earned doctoral degree in occupational therapy or a related field (PhD, ScD, EdD, DHSc, DSc, OTD, DrOT).

Five years of experience in occupational therapy, including clinical experience as an occupational therapist, and experience as a fieldwork educator or training in roles of fieldwork educator.
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation
- Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice as an occupational therapist in North Carolina.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
- Teaching experience in occupational therapy
- Academic fieldwork coordinator experience
- Doctoral capstone coordinator experience
- Experience in fieldwork management system
