Emergency department nurse needed for plastic surgery practice.
We seek a Emergency Department Nurse to work in our small outpatient plastic surgery facility. Yes, an E.D. Nurse!
Do not worry about whether you know anything about plastic surgery, as we will teach you everything you need to know. All you need to do is have the right attitude. You may think it is odd that we seek to hire such nurses for plastic surgery, but we have found that these nurses have the best experience. Plus we will teach you everything you need to know.
We seek a part-time nurse to work 1-3 days each month. The nurse we hire will fill the following roles:
- Admit patients prior to surgery, performing brief assessment, starting IV, and administering pre-operative medications, as prescribed by the surgeon.
- Following the same patient into the operating room and circulating the case (if you are interested in doing so, in which case, we will train you.)
- Following the same patient to recovery, where you will recover the patient and discharge the patient to home.
Our experience has shown that nurses who have experience in E.D. fit this role well. If you are an experienced E.D. nurse, then THIS is the job for you, even if you have never worked in plastic surgery previously!

- No evenings or weekends.
- No call.
- We seek a nurse to work 1-3 days per month, mostly on Tuesdays. Your schedule can be set months in advance, and you will tell us when you can and cannot work. We will not dictate your schedule to you!
- We will pay for you to get ACLS certification and a KY nursing license.
- You must also understand that because of the nature of our practice (small), there is no flexibility to call in sick or cancel work days once they have been scheduled, so please do not apply for this job if you tend to call in sick.
- Pay starts at $26-$28 per hour, but benefits include plastic surgery procedures and skin care services (Botox, filler, laser hair removal, permanent makeup) at cost.
