SHIFT: DAYS SUNDAY THRU THURSDAY
POSITION SUMMARY: The Housekeeper is responsible for daily housekeeping routines such as cleaning patient rooms, offices, and public areas, while ensuring a safe and risk free environment within OSHA regulations. The floor technician is responsible for buffing, waxing and detailing floors.
SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES:
- Adaptability to perform a variety of duties and repetitive tasks.
- Ability to read and follow direction.
- Ability to work efficiently and according to schedule.
- Ability to interact in a positive manner and communicate well with patients, families, co-workers, supervisor and other hospital employees.
- Must have skill set to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to work in behavioral health environment and observe the standards of care needed for patients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: A minimum of one (1) year experience in housekeeping duties, preferably in a health care facility.

Position Purpose: Under the direct supervision of the Environmental Services Supervisor, this position exists to clean and service all floor areas of the hospital (disinfecting areas by scrubbing or spraying), and to perform a variety of environmental service duties in order to maintain orderly, clean, and sanitary conditions.
