Job description
POLO Engineering, Inc. is seeking a reliable Construction Laborer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with various construction projects and ensuring that they are completed to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction or a related field and be able to work safely and efficiently.
We are looking for someone who is not just a laborer — but a critical thinker, problem solver, and do-er who takes ownership of their work and looks for ways to improve efficiency.
Duties
- Assist with the construction process, including preparing and cleaning up work sites, as well as lifting and moving heavy materials and equipment.
- Perform manual labor tasks, such as digging, hauling, and carrying materials.
- Operate heavy machinery, such as forklifts, dump trucks, and cranes, as necessary.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
- Assist with the installation of materials and components, such as electrical wiring, sewer and water connections.
- Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work sites.
- Work in a team environment and communicate effectively with other laborers and construction professionals.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the construction process.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in construction or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety guidelines.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with construction tools and equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Valid driver's license (clean record).
