JOB
Performs advanced coordination, planning, and project work associated with the management of the city’s capital planning process. Responsibilities include coordination and development of the annual capital improvement plan, ongoing financial management of existing project budgets, and preparation of reports for leadership and advisory bodies. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Budget and Performance Management Director.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Develops, coordinates, and maintains the City’s multi-year Capital Improvement PlanProvides ongoing support to departments regarding current and future project funding needs; prepares budget amendments as neededActs as the primary point of contact for all departmental stakeholders, facilitates effective communication, and addresses questions and concernsPrepares reports and presentations for city departments, city management, and city councilProvides annual and ad hoc training on capital planning process Completes special projects as assigned
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force; work regularly requires sitting and speaking or hearing, frequently requires using hands to finger, handle or feel and repetitive motions and occasionally requires standing, walking and reaching with hands and arms; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data and observing general surroundings and activities; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic)
