Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team and provide exceptional care for our furry clients. This role involves supervising dogs during playtime, ensuring their safety, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, strong animal handling skills, and excellent customer service abilities. Prior experience with pet care, dog training, or veterinary assistance is highly valued. Responsibilities
- Supervise dogs during play and socialization activities to ensure safe interactions
- Monitor the health and well-being of dogs, recognizing signs of distress or illness
- Maintain cleanliness of the daycare area, including cleaning kennels and common spaces
- Engage with pet owners to provide updates on their pets and address any concerns
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary for supplies or equipment
Qualifications
- Experience in dog handling, pet grooming, pet sitting, or veterinary assistance preferred
- Knowledge of animal care, animal restraint, and kennel management is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Ability to handle animals safely and confidently, including heavy lifting when required
- Prior experience in veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles is advantageous
- Passion for animals and a genuine desire to provide compassionate care
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
