Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Production Laborer to join our manufacturing team. This role involves supporting various production processes within a fast-paced factory environment, ensuring efficient operation and maintaining high safety standards. The ideal candidate will have prior factory or warehouse experience, mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with assembly lines and hand tools. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in manufacturing and assembly while contributing to the production of quality products.
Duties
- Assist with the assembly of products on the production line using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical knowledge
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to move materials and finished goods
- Support the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment
- Perform quality checks and inspect products for defects or inconsistencies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the manufacturing facility to promote safety and efficiency
- Load and unload materials, ensuring proper storage in designated areas
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during production activities
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a manufacturing facility, warehouse, or assembly line environment preferred
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and assembly processes
- Experience operating forklifts is highly desirable; forklift certification is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods during shifts
- Basic understanding of safety procedures related to manufacturing operations
- Prior factory or warehouse experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates interested in developing their skills
Job Type: Temp-to-hire
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
