Duties
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Greet customers warmly, providing excellent customer service with a positive attitude
- Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with precision and integrity
- Assist customers with product inquiries, product demos, and upselling to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain clean and organized merchandising displays and stock shelves regularly
- Conduct inventory checks, stock replenishment, and manage product stocking efficiently
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and ensuring proper signage is in place
Experience
- Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred, especially within grocery or convenience store environments
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in team settings
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures essential for accuracy
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Strong communication skills to engage confidently with customers and team members
- Basic math skills necessary for cash handling, retail math calculations, and sales transactions
