A leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Labor & Delivery Department Pool team. This role provides flexible scheduling while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to mothers and newborns in an acute care setting.
Provide direct nursing care to labor and delivery patients using the nursing process and established clinical standards
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Monitor maternal and fetal conditions and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
Delegate appropriate patient care activities to other members of the healthcare team
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, procedures, and postpartum care
Identify patients at risk for injury and maintain a safe care environment
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Demonstrate professional accountability and commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous development
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Associate Degree in Nursing required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Minimum of 18 months of Labor and Delivery RN experience required
Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
