Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our food service operations and contributing to an efficient workflow in our restaurant or catering setting.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste as needed.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by kitchen staff.
- Ensure that all items are properly stored and organized after cleaning.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and assisting with the overall cleanliness of dining areas.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of proper food handling techniques and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to assist in various tasks within the kitchen as needed.
