We are seeking a dependable and organized Cook to prepare nutritious meals for children while following CACFP/USDA guidelines and maintaining a safe, sanitary kitchen environment. Responsibilities include meal planning and preparation, food purchasing and inventory, kitchen cleaning and maintenance, supporting classroom cooking activities, and ensuring proper health and safety procedures are followed. The ideal candidate will be able to work within a budget, adapt meals for special dietary needs, and work collaboratively with staff to support a positive learning environment for children.
Employee Experience: At a minimum, a High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. Must have reliable transportation and meet Missouri automobile liability minimum requirements. Maintain current First Aid and CPR certification. Knowledge of acceptable food storage, food preparation, and food service practices. Must have or pass the ServeSafe Certification required in Adair County, or equivalent in other areas. Must obtain Food Allergen certification. Must pass a Child and Elder Care Worker screening. Provide proof of yearly physical and TB risk assessment.
