Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant with Radiography Certification (RDA, DA, OA) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Orthodontic and pediatric dentistry, with expertise in chairside assisting, infection control, and dental imaging. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support a busy practice that emphasizes patient comfort, safety, and high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including sedation, restorative, and orthodontic treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available for patient appointments.
- Take CBCT and dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and proper aseptic techniques.
- Manage patient records accurately within EMR systems such as Ortho Trac and Dentrix, including documenting medical history and treatment notes.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and assisting the front desk as needed with dental receptionist duties.
Qualifications
- Valid Radiography Certification (RDA, DA, OA) required; experience with X-ray procedures in a dental setting is essential.
- Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments preferred; familiarity with pediatric-specific procedures is a plus.
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Ortho Trac and Dentrix platforms is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining a professional demeanor under pressure.
- Knowledge of dental imaging technology including 3D scanners; experience with medical coding and medical records management is beneficial.

Pay: $28.00 - $39.00 per hour
