Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments in various specialties including rheumatology, allergy and immonology.
- Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs, documenting medical histories, and ensuring comfort throughout their visit.
- Perform clinical tasks such as medication administration, skin testing and more.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately by documenting medical information, updating records, and ensuring compliance with privacy standards.
- Conduct patient intake processes, verify insurance details, and assist with ICD coding for accurate billing and record keeping.
- Support medical office operations by managing appointments, coordinating referrals, and handling administrative tasks like medical documentation and records management.
- Collaborate with clinic teams during patient experiences or procedures to ensure seamless patient transitions and care continuity.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a medical office environment with knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and ICD coding.
- Hands-on experience with electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), EMR (Electronic Medical Records), and clinical or outpatient center settings is highly preferred.
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately across diverse populations including geriatrics.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage medical documentation, records, intake procedures, vital signs collection, and ICD coding efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments such as urgent care clinics or hospital settings.
