Salary:
$20.06 - $25.41, Undergraduate Level
This position is expected to work an average of 18 hours per week. The anticipated duration of this internship is approximately 6 to 12 months, but may end earlier or be extended depending on department needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reviews and maintains various internal and external Human Resources content to ensure information accuracy and coordinates necessary updates
- Assists with division reporting and grant support activities by gathering and reviewing information for accuracy, coordinating content review and approval processes, researching funding opportunities, reviewing requirements and deadlines, and supporting the preparation and publication of reports and proposals
- Provides relevant project updates and actively participates in department and division meetings
- Assists with planning and coordinating employee events and activities to support engagement and participation
- Prepares materials such as charts, graphics, and illustrations for presentations and reports
- Analyzes and prepares recommendations related to process efficiency
- Assists with budget-related tasks, such as expenditure tracking and forecasting
- Establishes positive working relationships with City employees, outside agencies, and the public
- May provide administrative and project support, as needed

In addition, part-time, temporary, and seasonal (PTS) employees may be required to participate in the DMV Employer Pull-Notice Program. This program authorizes the City to receive a driver record report upon enrollment and during employment.
This is not a designated Retired Annuitant position. If you are a California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) retiree, you may be required to reinstate into CalPERS.
