Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately execute installations and repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation and extend system lifespan.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic instruments.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including refrigerant charging and ammonia refrigeration systems where applicable.
- Repair appliances and mechanical components such as welders, pumps, motors, and valves in accordance with safety standards.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs of repairs performed, parts used, and system performance data for accountability and future reference.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of construction principles related to HVAC installation and property maintenance.
- Proven experience as a service technician with field service capabilities in diverse environments.
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design documents accurately.
- Mechanical aptitude with strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, air conditioning systems, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration.
- Skilled in plumbing work associated with HVAC systems and appliance repair techniques.
- Familiarity with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration) systems including refrigeration compressors and controls.
- Proficiency using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience with equipment repair including welding techniques for metal components.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers or similar vehicles preferred.
- Knowledge of property maintenance practices related to HVAC system upkeep in commercial or residential settings.
- Mechanical experience working with boilers or other large-scale heating equipment is advantageous. Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
