Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. This role is critical to the financial health of our business and will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations and ensure accuracy across financial processes
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Handle customer invoicing and track collections
- Prepare financial statements, profit & loss reports, and monthly financial summaries
- Assist with annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow management
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in financial workflows
- Coordinate with project managers and operations staff on job costing and billing
- Support leadership with financial data for business decision-making
Qualifications
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or a related industry
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
- Experience preparing financial statements and management reports
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
