American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week acute care travel assignment requiring 1-2+ years of experience and neonatal/pediatric background.
-
Acute care hospital setting in the Respiratory Therapy department
-
75-bed facility serving adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients ranging from micro-premature infants to hospice care
-
Uses Vocsn ventilators and V60 BiPAP equipment
-
Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
-
Weekend work required every other weekend
-
36 guaranteed hours per week
-
May be required to float within a 25-mile radius of the facility
-
1-2+ years of Respiratory Therapy experience required
-
Some neonatal and pediatric experience required
-
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
-
State license required if applicable, and must be in hand at time of consideration

AHA certifications required
-
Provide respiratory care services across a diverse patient population including adults, geriatrics, and pediatric patients
-
Work as part of a collaborative healthcare team delivering individualized patient care
-
First-time travelers may be considered for this position

Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months

Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time

Permanent address must be 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate

Background check requirements include Iowa SING criminal and child abuse portions with no exceptions

All background checks across counties and states must be fully cleared prior to start, with no instant or statewide searches accepted

Mandatory reporter certification required for both child and adult populations
-
10-panel drug screening required, including opiates
-
Candidates must be able to start within 7-10 days of offer acceptance

Monday or Tuesday start dates will be accommodated
