Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate is a skilled driver with a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Operate tow trucks to transport vehicles safely and efficiently
- Load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment, ensuring no damage occurs during the process.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing their concerns.
- Always maintain a professional appearance
- Provide Roadside Assistance including jump-starts, tire changes, and lockouts.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on tow trucks to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Manage conflicts professionally when dealing with distressed customers or challenging situations.
- Maintain accurate records of all towing activities and vehicle conditions.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely responses to towing requests.
- Communicate unsafe or possible damaging situations to dispatch in order to help prevent accidents and damage to vehicles.
- Immediately report accidents, injuries, traffic citations, warnings, and medical problems to dispatch.
- Maintain reports on inspections done on work vehicles daily and report any problems to dispatch immediately.
- Maintain driving log when necessary.
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass both a criminal background check and a drug test.
- No felony convictions or DUI/DWI convictions within the past 7 years.
- Minimum of 1 year experience towing is preferred.
- Must hold the proper license to operate a tow truck in MT.
- Must have a DOT Medical Card
- CDL license preferred but not required
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle the physical workload of the job.
- Possess a strong work ethic
- Flexible with start and end times depending on call frequency
- Ability to communicate efficiently with others.
