Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Operations Manager to lead our retail and administrative functions. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily store operations, manage staff, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain inventory control. Your leadership will drive operational excellence, streamline processes, and support our mission to empower creative learners through effective management practices.
Duties
- Supervise daily store operations, including sales, inventory management, and customer service standards
- Lead, train, and motivate retail staff to achieve sales goals and deliver exceptional customer experiences
- Oversee employee orientation, onboarding, and ongoing training programs to develop team skills
- Manage purchasing, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to optimize inventory levels
- Implement and monitor POS (Point of Sale) systems for accurate transactions and cash handling
- Conduct regular inventory control checks and manage stock stocking procedures
- Coordinate shift schedules, manage payroll processing, and ensure compliance with company policies
Experience
- Proven management experience within the retail industry, including supervising teams and managing store operations
- Strong knowledge of retail sales techniques, merchandising, and inventory management
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills
- Demonstrated ability in employee recruitment, interviewing, training & development
- Familiarity with operational management tasks such as budgeting, purchasing, and store safety protocols
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for engaging a diverse community of customers and staff
