Duties
- Assist with cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal components using hand tools and power tools such as plasma cutters, brake machines, and grinders
- Support welding operations including, TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding).
- Help with blueprint reading to understand fabrication drawings, schematics, and technical specifications for various projects
- Operate forklifts, rigging equipment, and other machinery to move materials safely around the shop floor
- Measure materials accurately using calipers, and other precision tools to ensure quality standards are met
- Organize and seperate materials such as scrap metal and tooling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times
Skills
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes.
- Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks
- Ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining attention to safety and quality standards
- Ability to lift 75-100lbs unassisted
Real Basics!
- You should be able to lift/ hold metal bars 75-100lbs.
- Be willing to clean and organize the shop space.
- Have strong problem solving skills.
- Be flexible with scheduling. There will be no days over 4 hours of work and most all work will be completed inside the warehouse. Scheduling will be up to the employee in the beginning, they will choose a 4 hour window anywhere between 10am-6pm Monday-Saturday(5 days max)
Pay: $15.00 per hour
