QC Lab Technician
First shift (830am-500pm, and/or 7am-330PM) with flexibility. Some Saturdays required.
Job responsibilities
- Keeping laboratory clean and organized (GLP’s, GMP’s)
- Be able to work in a fast paced laboratory environment
- Conduct daily laboratory tasks. (Such as recording and maintaining notebooks and paperwork, temperatures, and calibration of lab equipment.
- Responsible for environmental monitoring in production and laboratory areas. (including ATP and sponge swabbing)
- Conduct analytical testing for raw materials and finished products, (salt analysis, moisture, pH, Foss machine, sifting, gas meter, and fat)
- Keeping retention sample areas cleaned and organized.
- Manage inventory of supplies in the laboratories.
- Train new employees on procedures and environmental monitoring
- Report to lab manager
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degrees preferred in biology, chemistry, or other scientific field
- Associate degrees are welcomed in related fields with at least some lab experience.
- Knowledge of GMP’s and GLP’s
- Strong interpersonal communication and attention to detail skills.
- The ability to complete assignments independently as well as part of a team
- Demonstrate good basic computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)
- Reliable source of transportation is a must
- The ability to follow verbal and written instructions (SOP’s and lab manager)
- Good organizational and writing skills
